These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SmileBright Dental website and dental services. By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

3. Patient Responsibilities

Appointment Scheduling

Medical Information

  • Provide complete and accurate medical and dental history

4. Payment Terms

Payment Methods

  • Cash and EFTPOS
  • Major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express)
  • Health insurance (we are preferred providers for major funds)
  • Payment plans (subject to approval)

Payment Policy

  • Payment is due at the time of service unless prior arrangements are made
  • Insurance claims will be processed on your behalf where applicable
  • Outstanding balances may be referred to a collection agency
  • A fee may be charged for dishonored payments

5. Cancellation and No-Show Policy

  • Appointments must be cancelled with at least 24 hours notice
  • Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) may incur a cancellation fee
  • No-show appointments may be charged the full fee
  • Repeated no-shows may result in dismissal from the practice

6. Treatment Consent and Risks

All dental treatments carry some level of risk. Before any treatment:

  • We will explain the proposed treatment and alternatives
  • You will be informed of potential risks and complications
  • Written consent may be required for certain procedures
  • You have the right to refuse treatment
  • Second opinions are encouraged for major treatments

11. Practice Policies

Children and Minors

  • Parent or guardian consent required for treatment of minors
  • We welcome parents in treatment rooms for children under 16
  • Adolescent confidentiality respected as appropriate

Emergency Care

  • After-hours emergency contact information is provided
  • Emergency care prioritizes pain relief and immediate needs
  • Follow-up appointments required for comprehensive treatment

12. Termination of Service

We reserve the right to terminate the dentist-patient relationship for:

  • Non-payment of fees
  • Failure to follow treatment recommendations
  • Abusive or threatening behavior toward staff
  • Repeated no-shows or late cancellations

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on our website with the effective date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Queensland.
